IMAGINING EQUITY

Imagining Equity is a mobile engagement tool commissioned by the City of Minneapolis Department of Community Planning and Economic Development.  During the spring and summer of 2017, Imagining Equity will visit community events and organizations throughout Minneapolis to spark conversations and gather community ideas for drafting comprehensive plan policies.

The update to the City’s Comprehensive Plan will outline citywide policies and priorities, working toward a unified vision for Minneapolis in 2040.

My creative practice includes drawing, painting, graphic storytelling, network technology, public participation, and community land stewardship. I believe that art and creativity can serve as a critical catalyst for social and political change by engaging people in deliberative dialogue, illuminating concealed stories, building cross-sector platforms, and advancing agency and equity.
